My latest idea is to update the blog at least monthly, so here goes...
Not too much happening for Simon and I at the mo, just getting the hang of the new busy-ness and trying to claim more than an hour to ourselves each evening, sans kitchen clean-up and the likes. Becs has been back dancing (Ceroc) again, well once so far. I'm enjoying crocheting. Have completed 2 hats for Belle and one each for the boys, current project is a tea cosy. (Photos to come).
Brad has a brand new, second hand bike but unfortunately it is still a bit too big for him, but thats ok as the balance bike is still too big for Nate. Not much else happening other than enjoying preschool and telling his brother how do to things!

Nate is becoming quite talkative and even putting a couple of words together at a time, todays phrase was "uh oh, mess" and he has a new word for his dummy (which he is very addicted too) its now called "minga". Other than that, he is finally getting more teeth with all four first molars appearing in the last few weeks.

Belle is doing well, other than having a cold for most of her life! She started smiling at 5 weeks, especially for doting big brother Brad. Daddy loves making her smile too. She is a bit pucky at the mo, but hoping that is still just getting rid of the phlegm in her lungs. Belle is currently lying under her playgym and talking to her toys - so cute. Grandma Scolly enjoyed seeing her smile and coo on Skype the other night! Oh yes, and I've put Belle in her own room overnight, so that I'm not lazy and feeding her in bed and falling asleep after her 2am feed. Now just to stretch her out a little past 6am...

Well, the Scolly Family has been out and about enjoying the cool winter weather. We've been walking lots - Travis wetland, Port Hills tracks (that are open) up at Vic Park, down to the river to feed the ducks and there's always a few quick trips down to the school to burn off energy! We've been to a 2 year old and a 3 year old birthday party too. Here are a couple of photos taken two days after the snow fall.

Land update: its all go!! Lot 4 is sold, Lot 1 is almost sold and Lot 2 has some interested parties. At least one of the purchasers are coming from a property in the red zone, so their house will probably go up fairly soon. Hopefully there will be another young family move out with us! So, on Saturday we went out to look at showhomes in Kaiapoi and turned the first sod on the land. Soil looks good, not as stony as expected.

Bathroom update: still ticking along slowly, cabinet looks fab. And now we have a plan of getting our house on the market in January!!
