August, snow and spring...

August seems to have flown by, we've had more snow:

Belle on one of the snow days, fell asleep in front of the fire.
Brad is really growing up, very inquisitive and remembers it all too! He is getting some practice on his pedal bike but its still rather large and heavy. Brad has had his face painted at Poppies Preschool for red nose day, as a jetstar jetplane and as a pirate. I think there may have been a butterfly as well. Maybe the butterfly went with the little fairy I picked up from the Nursery one day.... Nate had flowers in his hair and a fairy skirt one - too cute, especially with the curls.

Belle had gorgeous clothes arrive from Jude in Oz:

And a vest/cardi and shoes from Grandma Debi:
Wouldn't she make a great foot model?
The boys have had lots of fun in the bath, I bought them a rubber band paddle boat from the craft show too.
Water fun
Belle is smiling heaps and "talking" too, she is becoming a regular chatterbox! She also laughs, especially for Daddy. She is also practicing moving... rotating about 270degrees when on her back and drawing her legs up looking like she is trying to crawl when on her tummy!!

Nate is also a chatterbox, learning new words everyday, however this week's favourite word is "no". We had a practice ride last weekend and he is almost tall enough for the balance bike - yay. Nate has had the big chop. His gorgeous, but somewhat girly, curls are now all gone and he looks like a mini Brad! Check out the before and after photos:
Curls... going...
going...
gone.
I've been busy crocheting... finished a tea cosy (bit small though) and a mat for the tea pot, a hat for a friend's new little girl, and started a blanket for Belle. Its pram sized (about 50cm x 72cm), or at least will be when I've finished. I've got another few projects on the go too. I'm trialing a month of going dairy free to see if it will help with Belle's spilling - so far so good. Its not so much the volume but the frequency, and everytime you put her in the car seat or pick her up from lying down. She seems to be a (self-diagnosed) "happy-chucker". So the spilling is definitely reduced in volume and frequency, most days! Seems to get worse later in the day.
My 3 children, my 3 hats.
In other family news, Si has just been made team lead over his team (and another that has joined them) of 12 people - yay! And he has been working on the bathroom - all ready to paint now. His Father's Day and Birthday present from the children this year was 10 eco-sourced native trees to plant on our land.

Our land is progressing. All 4 lots are now sold and we have paid our deposit. Title should be issued in November. We went for a visit last weekend and the driveway has been dug down and the boundary pegs put in. I went to see a man at Orange Homes last week and he is drawing up a draft floor plan for us, so exciting... I'm also investigating wastewater disposal options - another custom design of course.

Well, I think that is it, a long one this month.
Here are some photos to finish!
Super-incredible-batman, with lambsy and minga!
A thumb-sucking photo just for Grandma Scolly.
Sibling Love.
There were 3 in the bed....
