Our little Belle.

Thought it was probably time to write a bit about how we are all going and all that has happened over the last 4 or so weeks!

Well, since Belle arrived we've had both Grandma's to stay and they have been truly awesome helping out, or should I say doing pretty much all of the chores! And this last week Daddy has been home to help out and to distract the boys.

Belle is now about 4kgs and pretty happy and content, though we've had a few long nights, especially early on! She generally wakes once a night for a feed, but can then get up too early some mornings. It is nice to be up and kinda organised before the boys wake, generally after 7am. This morning was a 5 or 5.30am start.... far too early... but we did go back to sleep on the couch. Belle's favourite place to sleep is on us or on her tummy. She goes down pretty well and we haven't needed a dummy yet!

When Grandma Scolly left we rearranged the house - well the front two rooms anyway. Brad is on a single bed and Nate the toddler bed, in their room. We had moved Brad out to the little room when we bought him the single bed, but he moved back in with Nate when Grandad Ian came down in May. They seem to love sharing, although I don't put them to bed at exactly the same time just yet. The cot is set up in Belle's room and she has the odd day sleep in there, but otherwise sleeps in the carry cot (from the buggy) next to me. She had been spending the second half of the night in bed with me but now seems to settle by herself which is good.

We've had quite a few trips out... no point staying at home! Simon and I (and Belle too) even got a couple of nights out while the Grandma's where here - yay! We had a family walk up in Victoria Park over the weekend which was nice... loving the cold winter mornings and beautiful blue sky days. All the preschool teachers have seen Belle, and some have even had a cuddle too! Nate loves Belle cuddles, he comes up to me and says 'Belle, cuddle' and stretches his arms out wide. Brad also dotes on 'Baby Belle' by talking to her during nappy changes and while in the car, especially when she's 'grumping'!

Well, right now I should be sleeping, doing the dishes, or folding nappies... so here is the photo of the day:
